Ein kleines Mädchen wird von seiner Mutter aufs Erwachsensein vorbereitet – der Alltag der Kleinen, ihr Werdegang, einfach alles ist bis ins Detail durchgeplant und so hat sie jeden Tag ein immenses Pensum vor sich, das es abzuarbeiten gilt. Doch dann wird das Mädchen vom exzentrischen, herzensguten Nachbarn abgelenkt, einem in die Jahre gekommenen Ex-Piloten, der ihr eine abenteuerliche, fantasievolle Geschichte erzählt: Der Nachbar musste vor langer Zeit in einer Wüste notlanden und traf dort den kleinen Prinzen – einen Jungen von einem anderen Planeten, der viele fremde Welten bereist hatte. Das kleine Mädchen startet in ein eigenes magisches und emotionales Abenteuer, darf endlich wieder Kind sein…
