Nach einem katastrophalen Absturz auf einem unbekannten Planeten, stellt der Pilot Mills schnell fest, dass er eigentlich auf der Erde gestrandet ist … vor 65 Millionen Jahren. Ihm bleibt nur eine Chance auf Rettung. Gemeinsam mit der einzigen anderen Überlebenden Koa, versucht er, sich einen Weg durch ein ihnen völlig unbekanntes Gelände voller gefährlicher, prähistorischer Kreaturen zu bahnen.
