Nach dem tragischen Unfall eines Klienten hat sich Tierdetektiv Ace Ventura zum Meditieren in ein tibetanisches Kloster zurückgezogen. Doch schon bald muß der gefragte Schnüffler seine spirituelle Enklave wieder verlassen, um im tiefsten Afrika eine entführte Albino-Fledermaus auftreiben - immerhin steht der Friede zwischen zwei Urwaldstämmen auf dem Spiel. Nach einigen haarsträubenden Dschungelerlebnissen macht der Meisterdetektiv die Gauner dingfest.
