Jahrelang hat der draufgängerische Beau Ben in der Karibik nach einem legendären Schatz gesucht und dafür alles, auch die Ehe mit Tess, geopfert. Ein sensationeller Fund, der Hinweise auf den Schatz liefert, lässt Ben hoffen, dass es für den Abenteurer und auch den Romantiker ein Happy End geben wird. Doch der verschuldete Ben hat gefährliche Gegner, die reich werden wollen, aber glücklicherweise auch einen Geldgeber, der dies schon ist. Und selbst Tess hat noch etwas für den Hallodri übrig.
